Te tūranga | The role:

Join our Digital Operations Team as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer and bring your fresh ideas to this newly created role.  You’ll take the lead in providing operational technical support and delivery of Counties Energy hybrid cloud and infrastructure and ensure seamless end-to-end architecture across both Information Technology and Operational Technology environments.

The role collaborates with internal teams and external partners and stakeholders to ensure a resilient, reliable, and secure hybrid cloud and infrastructure environment. The role also contributes to shaping our hybrid cloud and infrastructure roadmaps, aligning them with business objectives and long-term strategies.

Ōu pūkenga | What will you bring?

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 5+ years’ experience with infrastructure computing, hybrid cloud hosting, cloud services or similar roles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Expertise in developing, delivering, and supporting IT & OT infrastructure environments, such as physical, hypervisor and hyperconverged virtualisation, LAN, WAN and SD networking, on-prem and cloud storage.
  • Expertise in developing, delivering, and supporting hybrid cloud hosting and cloud services, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, IaaS, SaaS and PaaS.
  • Expertise in supporting and managing server operating systems such as Windows and RHEL.
  • Knowledge of secure configuration, management, troubleshooting and diagnostics of RHEL.
  • Expertise in developing, delivering, and supporting cyber security platforms such as EPP, EDR, perimeter protection, cloud security services, SIEM.
  • Ability to communicate and influence internally and externally at all organisational levels.
  • Able to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Commercially astute with proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • A collaborative style, with the ability to foster collaboration and relationships working towards a common goal.
  • A calm, professional temperament with ability to cope in pressured environments.
