We’re looking for a Field Safety Assessor who is people-focused and ready to lift our technical standards while championing a strong safety culture in the field and across the business.  Reporting to our experienced Senior Technical Safety Advisor and working alongside the wider Safety, Culture and Sustainability team, you’ll carry out site audits, lead competency assessments and inspire the crew with hands-on mentoring and building skills to take them to the next level.

Ōu pūkenga - What will you bring?

  • Extensive experience within overhead, underground and/or reactive electricity distribution environment is essential.
  • Relevant competencies for mobile plant, tools and equipment used within the distribution environment e.g. EWP, mobile crane, hauling equipment.
  • Experience with operating high voltage network and/or substation switch gear.
  • Confidence and ability to deliver and create impactful and engaging training to field-based teams.
  • A collaborative approach to strengthen technical safety awareness through engagement and influencing.
  • Fresh and innovative thinking to the role.

As you’ll spend a lot of the time in the field, a full and current NZ driver’s licence is essential.
